1 – When did you first get into music? What or who Inspired you?

For most of the musicians in the group, we have been making music for most of our lives, long before the band even started up. The band started up in 2007.

Our acquaintance is the main inspiration for our music and why we spontaneously started it up, but there were many peopl who inspired and influenced the specific sound we were after, namely:

Paco de Lucia, Vicente Amigo, Ojos de Brujo, Buena vista social club, Gypsy Kings and many other great musicians and composers.

2 – Who did you grow up listening to, and does that impact on what you create now?

We all grew up listening to very different music, so there is a very big variety of influences that have helped to shape our sound. Styles that has influenced our music the most is Jazz, flamenco, latin, world and popular music.

3 – How long have you been playing/writing?

Playing and writing music has been a passion that each of us loved since long before we met or started this band. When we got together, writing and playing our music together was a total new trip and it has taken our writing to another level. Since we met we have learnt so much about writing music and performing.

4 – How often do you play live (include details and links for any upcoming gigs)?

We play live quite often, although, we love to play live. We tend to play an original gig (which we promote ourselves) at least every month for our fans, apart from corporate work, special requests and festivals. Upcoming shows are 1 March in the Green note, Camden town, 13 April in Hootenanny and 9th May in the WM Jazz club in the 02 arena.

5 – What has been your favourite moment in music?

Our favourite moment in music was last year during our tour in Copenhagen, when we spontaneously decided to try out some street performance in the famous freetown in central Copenhagen called Christiania. It was a crazy adventure, the characters we met and the appreciation we felt was totally mind blowing, not to mention that we had an entire stage filled with drinks that all the locals kept buying us! It was a totally new and crazy experience! We felt like we belonged there, our crazy fusion going hand in had with the crazy fusion of people and characters that are local to this extraordinary freetown.
