GET TO KNOW: Lenny Bunn

When did you first get into music? What or who Inspired you?
I have always had music around me, I remember being very small and having my Mum bop around to the Carpenters or Abba, I then went through my early teens listening to pop and discovering music from the sixties (The Beatles, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry etc).
Who did you grow up listening to, and does that impact on what you create now?
I grew up with mainly Pop and sixties pop until such times as I discovered bands like the Rolling Stones, Free, Pink Floyd etc, so I found out it was cool to use feedback! All my influences even from my young age have a great impact and have added a massive variance to my work.

How long have you been playing/writing?
It must be 30 years coming up…..damn where did that go?

How often do you play live (include details and links for any upcoming gigs)?
I haven’t been playing live this year and no immediate plans other than in sessioning this year. I have become a studio rat these days and am mainly concentrating on writing and production for others. I am getting the itch though, so soon I am sure.

What has been your favourite moment in music?
Playing in front of 35,000 people, supporting some very big names and I also suppose my first ever TV appearance on one hand, then there are the personal creative moments with others that could never be replaced, I think I value that more, when two or three people can think and play together as one.

Where is the best place to find you online?
I am quite easily found online via my website www.lennybunn.uk or Facebook and Twitter, pop by and say hello!
