1 – When did you first get into music? What or who Inspired you?
Music of all genres has always been my deepest passion, since my early childhood. I used to take classes of piano, guitar and singing and when I was a teenager I started singing for a heavy metal band. That was my first professional experience as a singer and songwriter and Bruce Dickinson, James LaBrie and André Matos were my inspiration.
2 – Who did you grow up listening to, and does that impact on what you create now?
I grew up listening to every music genre, but probably who inspired me the most was Freddie Mercury and Queen.
I also founded a professional Queen cover band. I can really say their music is part of my life and of course their style, the power of voice and versatility have no doubt influenced my present productions. However, I can say my music comes from a mix of a variety of styles and influences. I have been mainly focused on latin classical music for 20 years now,and my inspiration has been Jennifer Lopez, Mark Anthony and Pitbull, who have stressed the charm and appeal of latin music across the world, leaving the clichés normally associated to the genre.
3 – How long have you been playing/writing?
I have been writing music since 2002.
4 – How often do you play live (include details and links for any upcoming gigs)?
I spend the whole year travelling all over the world to take part to festivals and events. Next sunday 14th August and 31st August I will be performing in Genoa, Italy, so in my hometown for once!
5 – What has been your favourite moment in music?
I have many wonderful memories, but maybe the best one is a Latin music festival I took part to in Latvia last year. The public was really warm and welcoming and it was clear they really enjoyed the show. Everytime I am on stage, anyway, it is a wonderful experience which gives a feeling of energy and excitement. I love singing live on stage, and see everybody joining dancing and singing!
