The Sonic Revolvers – Interview

1 – When did you first get into music? What or who Inspired you?

Me personally, I got in to music at around age 10. My dad used to have Oasis, Beatles, The Jam playing most weekends. I used to sing along to him playing guitar. So I would say my musical inspiration was from my dad, but I guess the Beatles and Oasis were the guys who grabbed me.

2 – Who did you grow up listening to, and does that impact on what you create now?

I grew up with a really weird musical taste, once I found Oasis and the Beatles I started branching out to all sorts like Jimi Hendrix and Queen all the way through to Ibiza classics and Cream anthems. Very different I know but o am personally a lover of music not genre specific, where as the other lads in the band they all have certain Genres they listen too. This does impact my performance – I want to be bigger than Freddie Mercury. I’m already better 🙂

3 – How long have you been playing/writing?

As a band we have been together for 5 years (it’s our 5the birthday this month) fucking hell 5 years…. That’s a long fucking graft. 5 years of arguments and doing more miles than phileas fogg. But I’ve been musically connected in bands for about 8/9 years but Richey has been doing music since he was a sperm.

4 – How often do you play live (include details and links for any upcoming gigs)?

We play regular up and down the UK, we’re not ones to say no to a gig and if it’s feasible we will do it. Playing is something we love and we can show our personality live.

We have a host of upcoming shows Glasgow, Stoke, Liverpool. See the poster attached

5 – What has been your favourite moment in music?

Probably supporting massive  bands like catfish and the bottlemen/Hero fisher/ the Hoosiers and Matt Cardle. Playing local festivals has been great as well, but we are  playing 02 Academy Liverpool 12th September that’s going to be huge.

Also it was really funny when Anto our bass player drank my piss from his “iced tea” bottle…. Ammonia

6 – Where is the best place to find you online?

Facebook / Twitter / YouTube / Apple music / I tunes / Spotify

Thanks a lot guys rock and fucking roll

Darrell (vocals)
