1 – When did you first get into music? What or who Inspired you?
The record collections that we were exposed to as kids always stay with you, trying to play along and figure out the chords and rhythms were great for learning the basics, while appreciating the artistry and showmanship that shone through was a valuable lesson too.
2 – Who did you grow up listening to, and does that impact on what you create now?
As a musician you can’t help but be influenced by everything you hear, good and bad, even if you don’t realise it. But listening to The Beatles, The Who, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Aerosmith mean there’s some cracking influence going in there.
3 – How long have you been playing/writing?
All the music for Cherry White was written in the last 4 years, you write for the people you play with. But we’ve all been writing for years, getting more experience and (hopefully) getting better with time.
4 – How often do you play live (include details and links for any upcoming gigs)?
We play live as much as possible, we’re currently confirming dates for July and beyond.
5 – What has been your favourite moment in music?
Being in the studio is always special, listening to the tracks as they come together, going from the sound in your head to something you can actually hear is a thrill.
Also our first festival (Togfest) was a great experience, playing to a shed full of music fans can’t help bring a smile to your face.
6 – Where is the best place to find you online?
Otherwise look for Cherry White Music on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, and Cherrywhitegigs on Twitter.
