1 – When did you first get into music? What or who Inspired you?
It all started from the unbearable tunes coming from my guitar, Simon Le Bon’s handshake and a significant punch in the mind from Akira Yamaoka. I dreamed to be a musician as long as I can remember myself, but always believed one person cannot do everything on his own.. If Akira did, why can’t I?
2 – Who did you grow up listening to, and does that impact on what you create now?
Ever since my childhood I was totally surrounded by it. Bands like Duran Duran, INXS, Tears for Fears, A-ha along with all the other tunes of 80s really took a great part in my upbringing. Moreover, I think the fact that I was raised listening mostly to foreign music determined my style in the future. I’m not really sure where is it coming from but I can’t sing in Russian, literally, and even if I try to – I do it with a strong british accent.
3 – How long have you been playing/writing?
I’ve always been going along with music. I’m the greatest fan of Duran Duran. So I think my personal acquaintance with them at the age of 12 actually did something unexplainable to me in the future. That was the day before one of their concerts when I got an opportunity to talk to them. I think there was some sort of a message being transferred on a sub-consciousness level when we shook hands with Simon Le Bon. Interestingly enough, in a few months I wrote my fist song ever.. gosh.. I hate that song!
4 – How often do you play live (include details and links for any upcoming gigs)?
Not as often, unfortunately. But the upcoming single ‘Memory’ that is due on October 29th, is a part of a bigger ‘Unstaged’ project recorded Live.
5 – What has been your favourite moment in music?
The moment I realized that everything is possible
