1 – When did you first get into music? What or who Inspired you?
We all got into music as young teens, listening to MTV2 and Top of the pops 2! Where else could you see Morrissey waving a bunch of flowers around in 2005? Local bands like Catatonia and The manic Street Preachers also paved the way for young Welsh indie kids as well. We still love them just as much now as well!
2 – Who did you grow up listening to, and does that impact on what you create now?
Luckily when I had Whams greatest hits for Christmas when I was 15 I didn’t take much notice of it! We were all lucky enough to have parents with a good taste in music, who all liked The Smiths and The Beatles, which I think is quite apparent in our music today.
3 – How long have you been playing/writing?
We’ve all been playing about ten years or more now. It instantly becomes a habit when you know that it’s what you want to do with your life!
4 – How often do you play live (include details and links for any upcoming gigs)?
We play live most weeks. We will literally play anywhere and have done so around the country for the last 5 years! We do have a local gig in the Ebbw Vale Institute with the Dirty Youth in October which should be great! We’re also playing with the Subways in Bristol soon, but the date still is t confirmed yet.
5 – What has been your favourite moment in music?
Supporting We are Scientists was an honour as we grew up listening to them, so sharing a stage was mind blowing for us! Although the less adventurous gigs have also given us so many happy memories too! However we’ll always remember playing in the O2 Arena in London as not many bands can say that I suppose!
6 – Where is the best place to find you online?
Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Sound Cloud and www.freethemusicbook.com. We’re quite easy to find just make sure you put Eric Unseen into a search!
