Noah is set to release his brand new single “Keep On Movin” on 16th December in the UK under his new dance label, Icon Worldwide Music. Unsigned Interviews were lucky enough to have a chat with him about his upcoming single!
1 – When did you the first get into music? What or who Inspired you?
I always had an inclination for performing to music. I remember stringing Christmas lights and hanging blankets as curtains and lip syncing to vinyl records. I had a large collection of singles and albums which I alphanumerically cataloged. I was meticulous. It was always so exciting to get a new record.. to touch it, smell it and hold it tight in the car on the way home waiting to gently put the needle on the grooves. Wow!
2 – Who did you grow up listening to, and does that impact on what you create now?
I grew up listening to everything from Meatloaf to Madonna. I have so many imprints from all sort of sources that it is hard to nail down exactly where my influeneces come from. My inspirations come from life… Death is too remote to understand. There are all sorts of simple and complex feelings and impulses inclusive of desire, fear, anger, confusion, serenity and feelings of love that summons the muse.
3 – How long have you been playing/writing?
My mom bought me a guitar when I was 11. My guitar teacher use to hit my fingers with a pen every time I made a mistake so I got rid of the guitar and teacher and my mom bought me piano. Much better. I trained in the Suzuki method which involved ear training. I avidiy started writing songs when I was 19 during my first year of university. All of the sudden, I was struck by an impulse to create and express…to write my own songs.
4 – How often do you play live (include details and links for any upcoming gigs)?
I’m in talks now with a DJ from Holland and a booking agent in Canda about organizing a live tour. I’ve mainly been a studio recording artist, however with the imminent Billboard and Music Week Chart successes I am having to get on the road. It’s exciting and everyday I am more ready.
5 – What has been your favourite moment in music?
There are too many great moments. My favorite moments are usually when I am songwriting, recording vocals, discovering harmonies, finding the right words. It’s euphoria, really.
6 – Where is the best place to find you online?
